Hop-Syn Synthetic Papers is a Show Stopper at Recent US Trade Expositions

Vinyl-Alternative, Environmentally Friendly Substrate is a Hit with Printers, Print Buyers, and Equipment Manufacturers

October 3, 2016 -- Lyndhurst, NJ -- Hop Industries, the makers of Hop-Syn Synthetic Papers, today announces the success from the very busy, recent U.S. trade shows. The company exhibited at Label Expo, SGIA Expo, and Graph Expo this month and received a range of positive responses from attendees; some stopped by the booth to see what’s new from the substrate manufacturer, and others were learning about synthetic papers, the vinyl alternative, for the first time. All attendees appreciated the environmentally friendly offering of the Hop-Syn synthetic papers, and many plan to integrate the substrate into their upcoming print projects.

“Interest in the Hop-Syn synthetic papers is at an all time high,” comments Jack Smith, Vice President, Hop Industries. “Printers, print buyers and big brands visited with us at the Expos to discuss all the ways in which our synthetic papers can make an impact with their print projects. We also met with several printing equipment manufacturers who plan to offer Hop-Syn as part of a complete, environmentally friendly package offering. We look forward to sharing more news about it in the coming months.”

At the Expos, the company demonstrated the full line of Hop-Syn papers, including the Hop-Syn TO, a bright white, 99-percent opaque synthetic paper. Tear resistant and 100-percent waterproof, the Hop-Syn TO grade is designed for printing retail banners and block-out window signs, and can withstand harsh environments. Its high-dyne level and micro porous surface makes it suitable for offset, screen, flexo, and UV inkjet printing equipment. The company also featured its XT paper grade, a bright white, high-opacity synthetic designed for printing durable POP displays for both indoor and outdoor applications. Similar to the TO, the XT is also 100-percent waterproof.
