At the recent SGIA Expo, attendees had the opportunity to meet with Hop-Syn synthetic paper experts and learn about the Hop-Syn grades available for different print projects. In this video, William Latham of Hop Industries discusses Hop-Syn XT, the company’s most tear-resistant synthetic paper. He points out its dual direction tear resistance, and how it holds its strength if material gets nicked. Popular applications include horticultural tags and bottle neckers.

Latham also recommends Hop-Syn TO for blockout applications. The substrate can be printed on both sides, without reverse images showing through. Popular applications include in-store banners and signage in retail windows, and more.

Like all Hop-Syn synthetic papers, Hop-Syn XT and TO are 100% recyclable. The grades can be printed by UV inkjet, flexography, offset litho, screen, and thermal transfer.

SGIA Expo attendees were treated to free samples of Hop-Syn XT and TO. If you were unable to attend the Expo, but would like free samples, contact the Hop-Syn team at 800-524-0757.
